About AudioMundo

AudioMundo exists to answer the definitional questions of audio — the ones people type into a search box after reading a spec sheet, a mastering note, or a streaming upload guide. What is a decibel, exactly? Is LUFS the same as volume? Does converting to FLAC lose anything? Each guide addresses one such question, states the definition first, then the distinctions that matter, then where to read further.

The site is written for a general United States audience: musicians uploading their first release, podcasters buying a first interface, students, and anyone comparing headphones or file formats. Terms are defined against their primary sources — standards from the Audio Engineering Society and the ITU, format documentation from Xiph.Org, and acoustics explainers from U.S. government references.
